Wire thread inserts Overview
Wire thread inserts are especially designed to produce strong threads in weaker materials and carry out fast and efficient repair of damaged threads
When screw thread coils installed into tapped holes, screw thread inserts provide permanent conventional 60° internal screw threads that accommodate any standard bolt or screw.
Wire thread inserts can be used to strengthen threads, giving applications a longer life. Each insert sharing the load over the entire bolt and hole, improving holding or pull out resistance. With insert installed, a more even distribution of load and stress can be achieved.
Inserts Materials:
Stainless steel grade 304 (AS7245) austenitic corrosion resistant steel.
Stainless steel grade 316 (AISI 316) austenitic corrosion resistant steel.

D= Nominal thread diameter
P= Thread pitch
W = Number of threads prior to installation
Do = Outside diameter of thread insert prior to installation
